Another study demonstrated that Ezh2 was not recruited to the UHRF1 gene, but H2AK119 ubiquitination was strongly enriched at the UHRF1 transcription start site and the proximal region of the gene in a prostate cancer cell line, suggesting non-PRC2-mediated transcriptional repression of UHRF1 (41).
