The injection of α-galactosylceramide appeared to decrease the degree of pulmonary metastasis of B16-luc2 cells in both the Wt and Tg mice, but the effect was much stronger in the Tg mice (12.5-fold decrease) than in the Wt mice (5.9-fold decrease; Fig. 4b), indicating that the presence of both CXCL14 and α-galactosylceramide resulted in a synergistic effect and even greater tumour suppression.
