HOXA9-associated transcriptional signatures queried with gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) revealed that the HOXA9 transcriptome in hTERT/E6/E7 cells was inversely associated with genes downregulated in glioma stem cells (enrichment score, ES = −0.54, false discovery rate, FDR = 0.19; Figure 3A), leukemia stem-like cells, and hematopoietic stem cells (ES = −0.44, FDR = 0.21; ES = −0.45, FDR = 0.20, respectively; Supplementary Figure 10A and Supplementary Table 1). The gene discussed is HOXA9; the disease is central nervous system cancer.
