In contrast, our findings in the LFS family indicate that TP53 intron 1 can also occur in the germline and once such a SV is present as a germline alteration it can give rise to not only OS but multiple types of cancer, including adenocarcinoma, meningioma, astrocytoma, colon cancer, basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma of the skin.
