Mini-agrin [20] is a miniaturized form of agrin—an extracellular matrix proteoglycan that induces acetylcholine receptor aggregation at the neuromuscular junction, miniaturized so that it just contains 4-domains, the N-terminal domain and 3 globular C-terminal domains, considered to be potentially important in the treatment of congenital muscular dystrophy. Here, AGRN is linked to congenital muscular dystrophy.
