Decreased expression of miR-216 and miR-302a and increased expression of miR-24 were observed in the liver tissues with NAFLD, the target genes such as ATP-binding cassette transporter A1 (ABCA1), long-chain fatty acid elongation 6 (ELOVL6) and insulin-induced gene 1 (Insig1) are involved in hepatic fatty acid, cholesterol, and glucose metabolism [79,80]. The gene discussed is ABCA1; the disease is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
