Several studies revealed aberrant expression of pontin and reptin in some human progressive malignancies: both pontin and reptin are overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma [10, 12, 24], pontin overexpression are reported in colorectal [13, 14], prostate [25], and non-small cell lung cancers [26], reptin overexpression are reported in breast [15], gastric [20], and bladder cancers [27]. This evidence concerns the gene RUVBL2 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
