The association of calreticulin with TRAILR2 occurs in a clear patched pattern on the cell surface (Figures 1B,C), a pattern corresponding to that of the patched foci to which calreticulin redistributed on the cell membrane of apoptotic neutrophils (20), on mitoxantrone treated CT26 colon cancer cells (21), and hypericin-treated bladder cancer cells (22). Here, CALR is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
