AR and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: In this study, our aims were primarily to study the ex vivo role of AR signaling mechanisms in the fibrogenic physiology of primary hHSC, and secondarily to determine the in vivo significance and disease relevance of these findings by assaying AR in the HSC compartment of a mouse model of NASH and of human livers with NAFLD/NASH at different stages of severity.
