Di Mitri et al (2014) have shown in PTEN-null prostate tumours in mice that CD11b+/Gr-1+ myeloid cells prevent tumour senescence through secretion of IL-1RA and that CD11b+/Gr-1+ myeloid cells can be reduced using a CXCR2 antagonist, encouraging tumour senescence following docetaxel. This evidence concerns the gene CXCR2 and neoplasm.
