Recent evidence showed that pancreatic cancer cells mostly utilizes glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase (including GOT1) (Non-canonical type) other than glutamate dehydrogenase (GLUD1) (Canonical type) for converting into alpha-ketoglutarate to fuel TCA cycle, which is obviously different from other kinds of tumors and normal cells. This evidence concerns the gene GOT1 and pancreatic neoplasm.
