To illustrate RepExplore’s features and the results obtainable on typical experimental data, we have applied the software to a metabolomics dataset comparing wild-type samples from the plant Arabidopsis thaliana against the mutant mapk phosphatase 1 (mkp1), which is more resistant to bacterial infection (Anderson et al., 2014, see datasets overview in the Supplementary Material). This evidence concerns the gene DUSP1 and bacterial infectious disease.
