ADAMTS1 and pulmonary arterial hypertension: Taken together, our novel (to the very best of our knowledge) findings suggest that ADAMTS-1 is involved in the development of HPH, and that baicalin upregulates the expression of ADAMTS-1 under chronic hypoxic conditions, thus inhibiting the synthesis and expression of collagen I, contributing to the decrease in pulmonary hypertension and pulmonary vessel remodeling.
