In past decades, the identification of mutations of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) that result in constitutive activation, and their association with significant responses to chemotherapeutic tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) have led to new paradigm of molecular targeting therapeutic strategy for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) [3].
