IFNB1 and myeloid sarcoma: 2008). Further investigations in MS patients, in different phases of MS with different levels of disease activity and under different treatments, will also be important. Very recently, it was shown that untreated patients with MS have increased gene expression levels of cannabinoid receptors in different types of immune cells, and those levels decrease significantly over the course of 1 year of interferon‐beta (IFN‐β) treatment (Sanchez Lopez et al. 2015). This observation is consistent with our findings, given the suppressive effect of IFN‐β on proinflammatory cytokines.
