Reverse genetics of the human lncRNAome has yielded a conserved lncRNA, CCAT, which overlaps a colon cancer susceptibility SNP, regulates MYC, and causes a two-fold difference in invasiveness and a four-fold difference in liver metastasis in a mouse colon cancer model (Ling et al., 2013). This evidence concerns the gene MYC and malignant colon neoplasm.
