In particular, IMP3 is a useful tool for the diagnosis of gastrointestinal (oesophageal, pancreatic, and biliary), mesothelial, gynaecologic (endometrial serous and squamous cervical), and neuroendocrine carcinomas [4], with very high sensitivity and specificity for these cancers in association with pathological and clinical data [21]. Here, IMP3 is linked to neuroendocrine carcinoma.
