Recently, antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) that use antibodies to deliver a potent cytotoxic compound selectively to tumor cells were approved for cancer therapy: CD30-targeting brentuximab vedotin for use in Hodgkin lymphoma and anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), and HER2-targeting ado-trastuzumab emtansine (T-DM1) for use in metastatic breast cancer [18]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and anaplastic large cell lymphoma.
