The Rho family GEFs, VAV3 and Trio, regulate the invasive phenotype of glioma cells [32], and a recent study identified the two GEFs, Ect2 and Trio, as activators of various Rho GTPases including cdc42 and Rac1 downstream of Tweak and as regulators of cell migration [33]. This evidence concerns the gene CDC42 and central nervous system cancer.
