CD80 and metastatic prostate carcinoma: Since it was shown in mice with metastatic prostate cancer that intratumoral immunization with DCs over-expressing both IL-12 and the co-stimulatory molecule B7.1 (CD80) resulted in less lung metastases than immunization with DCs expressing only IL-12 [22], it cannot be excluded that other maturation-inducing factors contributed to the outcome observed in the Nishioka [18] and Satoh [19] study.
