Given the context of lipases, acute pancreatitis and GLP-1 based therapies, we picked two proteins - the human pancreatic lipase-related protein 2 (PDBid:2OXE)26 and a human gastric lipase (PDBid:1HLG)27 - to demonstrate the distinct possibility that these proteins might be inhibited by DPP4 inhibitors.Table 1 shows the congruence of the DPP4 motif to these proteins using Motif1 and Motif2. The gene discussed is LIPF; the disease is acute pancreatitis.
