The levels of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), creatine phosphokinase isoenzyme (CK-MB), brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), TGF-β1 and CTGF, as well as the collagen volume fraction (CVF) and left ventricular mass index (LVWI), were used to estimate the effect of urocortin on DCM, mediated by the CRFR-2.
