These findings were similar to that in other studies [13, 25, 26]; a strong correlation between the decreased expression PTPN12 and shortened survival was found in breast cancer, indicating that inactivated PTPN12 may result in aggressive proliferation of tumors and can be used as a key biomarker for the assessment of prognosis in human cancers. This evidence concerns the gene PTPN12 and breast carcinoma.
