The identified ligands validate proteins previously reported to interact with αSN (including actin [33], tubulins [72, 73], p25α [48], and mortalin[34]), but also highlights novel proteins from pathways already hypothesized to be involved in the molecular pathogenesis of α-synucleinopathies like calcium regulation, mitochondrial homeostasis, protein translation, kinase signaling and vesicular and lysosomal function. Here, HSPA9 is linked to synucleinopathy.
