Exogenous treatment of IL-6 also significantly enhanced the proliferation of both ovarian cancer cells in a dose dependent manner (IL-6 100ng/ml; SKOV3ip1, 1.60 ± 0.29 fold, RMG-1, 1.64 ± 0.39 fold) and the pretreatment of anti-IL-6R antibody almost abolished these enhancements (Fig. 3B). This evidence concerns the gene IL6 and ovarian cancer.
