We queried TCGA for alterations in gene expression, copy number, and mutation in the prostate adenocarcinoma dataset (n = 236) using the gene list subset associated with the top five upstream regulators and found that the majority of the genes (6 of 9 genes) were altered in at least 5% of the 236 tumors, with deletion events of NKX3-1 (frequency: 12.7%) as the most frequent alteration. This evidence concerns the gene NKX3-1 and prostate adenocarcinoma.
