Moreover, while evaluating the strength of associations between mTOR SNPs and ESCC risk among subgroups with BMI < 25.0, the OR (1.52, 95% CI = 1.20–1.94) of combined risk genotypes was larger than the ORs (1.31, 95% CI = 1.03–1.67 for rs1057079; 1.39, 95% CI = 1.01–1.92 for rs1014261; 1.36, 95% CI = 1.07–1.73 for rs2295080) of any individual risk genotype (Table 5), indicating that there was likely a combined effect of these three SNPs.
