A single patient characterized by a blood CD8 T-cell deficiency and a blood EBV-specific CD8 T-cell deficiency (lower than 10th percentile compared to control patients) carrying HLA-A2 and HLA-B7 (which are restricting elements for several EBV epitopes used in this treatment) received autologous CD8+ T-cells activated against EBV [104]. This evidence concerns the gene CD8A and congenital T-cell immunodeficiency.
