The results are in accordance with findings by other investigators .23,24,46 The observed hyperpoteinemia can be attributed to an increase in the globulin concentration in response to parasitic antigen and released hemoglobin from destructed erythrocytes.44,46 reportedly, significant correlation were observed between albumin and cholesterol (positive), albumin and triglycerides (positive).46 With an increase in parasitemia rates, reduction in cholesterol and triglycerides concentration was expectable.
