c-Myc was overexpressed in CML CD34+ cells compared with normal CD34+ cells [11], and determined transcriptional profiles of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporter genes, leading to drug efflux and resistance in CML stem cells [12], which indicated the importance of c-Myc in maintaining leukemic stem cells. This evidence concerns the gene CD34 and chronic myelogenous leukemia, BCR-ABL1 positive.
