In addition, mutations K422R and H391Y of PKM2 (PKM2K422R and PKM2H391Y) were shown to decrease its pyruvate kinase activity in Bloom Syndrome (BS) patients, who are prone to cancer (Anitha et al., 2004; Akhtar et al., 2009; Gupta et al., 2010; Iqbal et al., 2014).
