To further verify the protein expression levels of unreported identified proteins across MES-SA, MES-SA/Dx-2 μM and MES-SA/Dx-8 μM, the expression of mitochondrial protein ACAT1 was examined and the immunofluorescence result demonstrated that ACAT1 was located in mitochondria due to the spatial overlapping of ACAT1 with mitotracker and its expression is up-regulated in MES-SA/Dx-2 μM and MES-SA/Dx-8 μM than in MES-SA implying ACAT1 is over-expressed in doxorubicin-induced drug resistant uterine cancer cells (Fig.5B). Here, ACAT1 is linked to uterine cancer.
