IL6 and neoplasm: Using SPRY2 over-expression (24), certain studies have reported that SPRY2 partially inhibits the activation of the MAPK/ERK signaling pathway and inhibits interleukin 6 (IL-6)-induced MM cell proliferation, suggesting that SPRY2 has a role in tumor suppression in MM cells through the inhibition of the activation of MAPK/ERK signaling (5,17–19).
