In 2009, Voermans et al. performed a prospective study in 40 genetically or biochemically confirmed patients with various forms of EDS (vascular EDS, classic EDS, EDS-HT and TNXB-deficient EDS), showing that mild-to-moderate neuromuscular involvement is common in various types of EDS.12 Patients reported muscle weakness, myalgia, easy fatigability, and limited walking distance. Here, TNXB is linked to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
