We found that the level of CSPalpha expression was significantly increased in mild Alzheimer’s disease cerebellum when normalized with both NSE and synaptophysin (referring to NSE expression: F(2,17) = 7.25; p < 0.05; referring to synaptophysin expression: F(2,17) = 4.18, p < 0.05). The gene discussed is SYP; the disease is early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
