CD4 and hip fracture: Firstly, on examining expression of CD69 on CD4 T cells no significant differences were observed between the three groups, F (2, 64) = 1.51, p = .003, η2 = .16 [Figure 4b], though significant differences were observed for CD8 T cells, F (2, 64) = 5.45, p = .006, η2 = .14, driven by an increase in the percentage of CD69+ve CD8 T cells in hip fracture patients with depressive symptoms compared with healthy controls (p = .005).
