Based on the predicted transporter-like structure of Ct-OATP1B3 translation products, which are Ct-OATP1B3-C and Ct-OATP1B3-v1 (Figure 1), one of the plausible functions of Ct-OATP1B3 is hormone uptake into cancer cells, as has been reported with the OATP1A2 function in prostate cancer [29].
