We then extended our analyses to an additional 22 OPSCC patients, including: 9 new HPV−/p16- tumors plus 8 ambiguous cases (1 HPV DNA-/p16+ tumor and 7 tumors with indeterminate or low levels of HPV DNA and RNA), and 4 HPV16 DNA/RNA++/p16+ tumors plus 1 case positive for a related high-risk type (HPV35) and p16.
