SOCS3 and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: Suppressor of Cytokine Signaling 3 (SOCS3) is an inflammatory mediator that has also been previously identified to be important in glucose and lipid metabolism, and it has been implicated in the pathogenesis of experimental models of NAFLD (Wang et al. 2009; Ihle 1995; Handy et al. 2011; Brenner et al. 2013; Moschen et al. 2010; Clementi et al. 2009; Ogawa and Kasuga 2008; Ueki et al. 2005; Tilg 2010).
