To understand whether the p53 status was a determinant for the susceptibility of cancer cells to PAK3 or SGK2 knockdown, we tested multiple p53 wild type and mutant cancer cell lines, including the HPV-negative cervical cancer cell line, C33Ap53mut, melanoma A375p53wt, lung cancer A549p53wt, colon cancer HCT 116p53wt, liver cancer HepG2p53wt, and osteosarcoma U2OSp53wt. This evidence concerns the gene PAK3 and cervical carcinoma.
