Specifically, we found that no heterozygous mutations in rs1416840 (Ile219 → Thr) and rs16822954 (Ser193 → Ser) are found in the present study, suggesting that among non-viral LC Japanese patients, genetic variation of the hOSCP1 gene such as rs1416840 and rs16822954 may be an important factor in the prediction of non-viral LC occurrence. Here, OSCP1 is linked to laryngotracheoesophageal cleft.
