Although, the gene polymorphism of hOSCP1 in exon 1 (Glu58 → Gly) has been reported to be associated with nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Chinese patients (Nie et al., 2003), we found a significant difference of the genotype frequencies in rs34409118 (Thr131 → Ala), rs1416840 (Ile219 → Thr), and rs16822954 (Ser193 → Ser) in non-viral LC of Japanese patients. Here, OSCP1 is linked to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
