Several FGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) such as dovitinib [6], ponatinib [10], NVP-BGJ398 [11] and AZD4547 [8] have been able to inhibit growth of GC cell lines harboring FGFR2 amplification and shrink tumor xenograft using the same FGFR2 amplified cell lines implanted in nude mice. The gene discussed is FGFR2; the disease is neoplasm.
