SLC2A1 and cancer: Nine out of these 21 genes did not show any significant changes in expression, while rest of the genes showed significantly differential expression between cancer and adjacent normal tissue in different malignant process such as apoptosis (BCL2L11), cell cycle (CDC20, MCM2, MKI67, SKP2 and STMN1), epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) (FOXC2, KRT14 and SNAI2), hypoxia response (SLC2A1), and metabolism (ACLY).
