As another notable example, we observed that the amplification of DVL3 was associated in 81% of tumors by a corresponding down-regulation in the expression of the phenotype gene CXXC4. DVL3 is a human homolog of the Drosophila dishevelled gene and to our knowledge, not yet directly implicated as a driver in ovarian cancers. This evidence concerns the gene CXXC4 and ovarian carcinoma.
