CXCL2 and infection: Although the differences of cerebellar concentrations of CXCL2 (MIP2) in animals dying during the acute phase of infection failed to reach statistical significance (Figure 3A), the highest CXCL2 (MIP 2) concentrations were found in the cerebellum of animals fed a L-VitD diet (medians (25th/75th percentiles): 5,237 (1,801/6,287) pg/ml compared with 2,937 (215.9/5,912) pg/ml in animals fed a S-VitD diet and 2,859 (402.9/4,294) pg/ml in animals fed a H-VitD diet; (Figure 3A)).
