When we expressed this mutant in MCF7 breast cancer cells, MDA-MB-361 breast cancer cells and EBC1 lung cancer cells, catalytically inactive AKT (Figure 2C/D/E, Figure 2—source data 1) but not wild-type AKT (Figure 2—figure supplement 1, Figure 2—source data 1), protected from MK2206-induced cell death.
