While the molecular mechanism of ovarian cancer remains unclear, studies have suggested that many different factors may contribute to this disease, among which there are tens of well-known oncogenes and tumor suppressors including TP53, PIK3C, BRCA1 and BRCA2. In particular the mutation of gene TP53 is the most common, occurring in at least 70% of advanced-stage cases [1,2]. Here, TP53 is linked to ovarian cancer.
