This patient, as the majority of those described in series and case reports, presented a monoclonal gammopathy [10] and elevated VEGF levels [2]; many Clarkson's disease cases predominantly have IgG-κ or IgA-κ monoclonal gammopathy [8]: both multiple myeloma and systemic amyloidosis were excluded via abdominal wall fat pad and bone marrow biopsy. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and primary systemic amyloidosis.
