CEA was more frequently positive in the patients with lymph node involvement, well differentiation, and cardiac carcinoma (P = 0.005, P = 0.001, and P = 0.049, respectively), CA72-4 was more frequently positive in the patients with advanced tumor stage and vascular invasion (P = 0.007 and P = 0.006, respectively), and positive levels of combined detection were related to deeper tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, and advanced tumor stage (P = 0.041, P = 0.014, and P = 0.040, respectively). The gene discussed is CEACAM5; the disease is metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
