Because metastatic potential generally affects the long-term survival of patients after curative resection of the primary tumor, we analyzed the effect of ClC-3 expression on cancer-related survival in a cohort of 274 tumor patients (including 73 lung adenocarcinoma, 118 breast adenocarcinoma and 83 liver cancer) with a median follow-up of 6 months (range 0.8–13.4 months). Here, CLCN3 is linked to liver cancer.
